I’m Planning to Take Cruise to Mexico. I’m on H1B Visa in USA. Do I Need to Take Mexican Visa?

Question by cruiseman: I’m planning to take cruise to Mexico. I’m on H1B visa in USA. Do I need to take Mexican Visa?
I am currently working in USA on H1B visa. I plan to take a cruise to Mexico (for 7 days). Do I need to take Mexican visa to visit the places that the cruise ship is planning to touch-down? For e.g, if the cruise ship docks at “Cabo San Lucas” in Mexico, and if I want to get down and roam around the city, do I need to take Mexican visa? Do I have to submit my I-94 while boarding the ship at ? If so, will I get a new I-94 when I re-enter USA after completing the cruise?
